Mrs Pickering is a  former Head of KS4, UK qualified teacher who has taught English Language and Literature for over 17 years. She teaches English from KS2- KS5 and has experience preparing students for 11+ exams, school entrance tests and scholarship support. She is passionate about her subject and its potential to improve outcomes for students not only academically, but holistically.  She aims to foster a similar enthusiasm in her pupils, and to encourage an inner confidence in their own potential. As a parent of four, she feels strongly about striking a balance between compassion and challenge based on the individual needs and preferences of the child.
