Mr Barratt has over 30 years experience in British education, including teaching at Shrewsbury School. He went on to spend 12 years at Adams' Grammar School, serving as both Deputy Head and Headmaster. He later became Headmaster of The Priory School and subsequently Chief Executive Officer of the 3-18 Education Trust, overseeing a group of schools educating pupils aged 3–18.
